The Kitchen at Stoke Place
The Garden Room, with beautiful views across Capability Brown's designed gardens, serves seasonal, contemporary, British food created with the best quality, locally sourced ingredients. Awarded 2 Rosettes from the AA Restaurant Guide and an excellent rating of 4 in the last two editions of the Good Food Guide, the offering reflects a "dedicated, focused approach to cooking, good classical skills and high quality ingredients".
The Garden Bar, next door to the restaurant, is ideal for business lunches on a tight schedule, lazy afternoons on the terrace or cocktails in the evening. Open from 10am to 11pm Sunday through to Thursday and 10am to 12am Friday and Saturday.
The restaurant is open from midday to 2.30pm Monday through to Saturday, serving dishes from the lunch menu, a la carte and tasting menus and on Sunday a special Sunday lunch menu only is served, priced at £18 for 2 courses and £25 for 3 courses. In the evening food is served from 7pm to 9.30pm Monday to Sunday from the tasting and a la carte menus. Afternoon Tea is served daily between 2.30pm and 6pm. We have a Children's Menu served daily in the restaurant before 7.30pm or all day in the bar.

The Team
The botanical-inspired interior is matched by the inventive culinary direction of head chef, Craig van der Meer. Craig came to Stoke Place from South Africa where he began his career at the 5 star Western Cape Hotel and Spa, via most recently Langshott Manor. Craig's food is modern British, inventive and seasonal. Service is relaxed, friendly and pitched at putting guests at ease. Craig's take on the traditional country house menu is served with an artful twist. Seasonal and locally sourced ingredients are used to create interesting versions of traditional fare.
Craig is joined in the kitchen by his sous-chef Cameron Weyers, also from South Africa Cameron learnt his trade at the 5 star diamond award winning Premiere Restaurant under Executive Olympian Chef Garth Shnier. Cameron shares Craig's passion for innovative cooking with the use of the freshest and best ingredients.
