Scones Recipe

Rivalling the great hotels in style and taste but without the incredible bill at the end, Stoke Place's Champagne Afternoon Tea and Full Afternoon Tea are a perfect day-time treat. Ever wanted to recreate it at home?

Now we all know how to make sandwiches, most of us know how to make cakes but do you know how to make scones? Help is at hand from the Stoke Place kitchen team! Follow this incredibly simple recipe for afternoon tea perfection.

Ingredients:

Self raising flour 1020g
Butter 210g
Sugar 135g
Baking powder 30g
Salt 15g
Eggs 3
Milk 450ml

Add all the dry ingredients together in a kitchen aide and mix untill crumbs are formed.

Add the wet ingredients and mix till the mixture comes together. Roll out mixture and cut the size you would like with a cutter.

Brush with an egg wash and bake at 170 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.
